Are you looking for an intensive outpatient (IOP) program for yourself or for someone you love? If so, Lion Rock Online Substance Abuse Counseling can help! As our name suggests, we are an online-based addiction counseling agency, and we provide an online IOP program for people who are serious about getting clean and staying clean from drugs and alcohol. Feel free to explore our services more at your convenience on our website.
Lion Rock Substance Abuse Counseling offers numerous addiction treatment programs, and IOP is by far our most comprehensive program. Is IOP right for you? What all is involved with our IOP program? Let's examine these questions closely so that you can make an informed decision.
About Our IOP Program
To attend our online IOP program, a commitment to three 3-hour groups is required each week. These groups can be attended from your laptop, desktop, smartphone, or tablet from any location as long as you have an Internet connection. You will need to download our app once you get started.
Three 3-hour sessions per week equals 9 hours per week, total. That is the commitment we are asking for from our patients, which we believe is intensive enough but is still far less than the three to five 5-hour sessions each week that other treatment centers demand.
Further, each session will be a little different. Lion Rock Online Substance Abuse Counseling provides group sessions with other patients, one-on-one sessions between you and a counselor, downloadable classes for educational purposes, and family sessions where we involve your loved ones and support network in your recovery.
Who is IOP for?
Intensive outpatient therapy is also referred to as partial hospitalization because of the time commitment it requires.
IOP is an intense outpatient program for people who:
1. Have graduated residential inpatient rehab and will use IOP to maintain a lot of structure and support as they integrate back into the world or
2. Cannot attend residential inpatient rehab due to work obligations, child care, lack of transportation, disability/mobility challenges, and other reasons but still need an intense rehab program.
Why Online IOP Programs are Better
To compliment your schedule, Lion Rock Substance Abuse Counseling offers IOP sessions both in the morning and in the evening. One of the problems that a lot of patients have with IOP is that it is often impossible for them to make their groups on time every time. For example, a patient can have weird hours at work that change from week-to-week, but if they miss their sessions at IOP, they will be discharged from the program. If the person is court-ordered to attend IOP, you can imagine that this might create a big problem for them!
At Lion Rock Substance Abuse Counseling, we bend over backward to accommodate, assist, and help each of our patients as long as they are serious about recovery. We are very patient understanding. Still, we have to be strict about our IOP program policies so that we can allocate our resources for individuals who need and want recovery most.
